Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Chump Fun presales

Presale Mechanics

What happens if a presale is cancelled?

If a presale is cancelled by the creator or platform administrators, all contributors will be able to withdraw their contributions as a full refund. You can use the "Refund" button on the presale page to get your ETH back at any time after a presale has been cancelled.

What happens if a presale fails to reach the soft cap?

If a presale ends and doesn't reach the soft cap, contributors can still withdraw their contributions as a full refund. The soft cap represents the minimum amount needed for the presale to be considered successful. If it's not met, the presale is considered unsuccessful and refunds are available.

How are presales finalized?

Presale finalization is always manual and controlled by the creator. The creator can finalize the presale in these scenarios:

Early finalization: If the presale reaches its hard cap before the scheduled end time, the creator can choose to finalize it early.

After end time: Once the presale end time has passed and the soft cap has been met, the creator can finalize it at any time.

Important: Contributors should follow the project's social media channels to stay informed about when the creator plans to finalize the presale.

Can presales be finalized early?

Yes! Creators can finalize their presales early if they reach the hard cap before the scheduled end time. This allows successful presales to launch to market sooner than originally planned. Once the hard cap is reached, the creator can immediately finalize and launch the token.

What happens during finalization?

When a presale is finalized, several things happen automatically:

• A portion of the raised ETH is used to add liquidity to Uniswap
• The platform fee is distributed to Chump Fun
• The remaining ETH goes to the presale creator
• Liquidity pool tokens are sent to a dead address (making them permanently locked)
• Token ownership is renounced, making it fully decentralized
• Contributors can then claim their purchased tokens

Contributions & Withdrawals

Can I withdraw my contribution before the presale ends?

Yes, you can withdraw your contribution at any time while the presale is active, as long as it hasn't reached the hard cap yet. Use the "Withdraw" button on the presale page to get your ETH back.

What are the contribution limits?

Each presale may have different limits set by the creator:

Minimum buy: The smallest amount you can contribute in a single transaction
Maximum buy: The largest amount you can contribute in a single transaction
Maximum per wallet: The total amount one wallet can contribute across all transactions
Hard cap: The maximum total amount the entire presale can raise

How do I claim my tokens after finalization?

After a presale is finalized and liquidity is added to Uniswap, you'll see a "Claim Tokens" button on the presale page. Click this button to receive the tokens you purchased. You can only claim once per wallet, and the amount is proportional to your contribution relative to the total raised.

Token Economics

How is the token price determined?

The token price is calculated based on the total amount of tokens allocated for the presale divided by the total ETH raised. For example, if 70% of tokens are allocated for presale and the presale raises 100 ETH, then 1 ETH = 0.7% of the total token supply.

What happens to unsold tokens?

Unsold tokens (if any) are returned to the presale creator. The presale contract only distributes tokens that were actually purchased by contributors, plus the tokens allocated for liquidity provision.

How much liquidity is added to Uniswap?

The amount of liquidity added depends on the "Pool Percent" set by the creator (typically 70%). This percentage of the raised ETH is paired with the allocated LP tokens to create the initial Uniswap liquidity pool. The liquidity pool tokens are then permanently locked by sending them to a dead address.

Safety & Security

Are presales safe to participate in?

While our smart contracts are designed with security in mind, all cryptocurrency investments carry risk. Always do your own research before participating in any presale. Remember that token prices can go up or down, and you should only invest what you can afford to lose.

Can the creator rug pull after launch?

Our contracts are designed to prevent rug pulls by automatically renouncing token ownership during finalization. This means the creator loses control over the token contract, making it impossible for them to mint new tokens, change fees, or perform other malicious actions after launch.
